Well, it´s not wrong to get some professional help by designing a logo or logotype (yes, there is a difference between these two) for your brand, but the decision to do it myself was brilliant, like a challenge where you can improve a lot of skills. I promise it’s worth a try!
I got my inspiration from Jessica Hische, a professional letterer, and illustrator. If you are interested it makes sense to check her blog.
And now let´s get started with my logo-processing! I´m excited to share my experience with you!
At first, I´m gonna show you what does it look like a couple of months ago:
Here are some of my first crazy ideas, like a circular emblem, or using of color splash/marker lines in the background.
The next thought was to integrate one of my illustrations.
The next step: hand-drawn sketches.
I used Adobe Illustrator to vectorize my favorite sketch, to improve the letter style and to add my purple macaron.
Voila! Here is the new logo for my blog!
All the letters are on the same baseline. The hight is harmonizing with the width. The weight is exactly how I want it!
What do you think? Would you do it in a different way?

I don’t mind if you download the images for your own personal use.
I would be happy if you share it, but please don’t forget to direct your reader to this post. Thank you!
